GOOGLE'S USER FOCUSED WORKPLACE
Synopsis:
It’s difficult to believe that Google is only 14
years old and started out as a doctoral research
project. The company’s constant expansion and
inventiveness have made it one of the world’s
most dominant technology companies. It’s the
powerhouse brand of the new century and Google
is leading the revolution in real estate too.
Christian Hurzeler’s Presentation Title is:
Healthy Buildings, Healthy People: Google’s
User Focused Workplace Design
Creating the healthiest work environments
possible are paramount to achieving optimal
levels of employee productivity, happiness, and
performance. Why does putting the user first when
it comes to workplace design
help support and
facilitate innovative thinking, experimentation,
creativity and efficient team work? From concept
through design, construction and operations,
how can the building industry positively impact
the health and
well-being of employees?
And how did they get a double decker
bus four storeys up? And why?
Christian Hurzeler joined Google
in 2010 and is responsible for the
delivery of projects in Google’s
EMEA portfolio (that is Europe,
Middle East and Africa).
Christian holds a Bachelor of
