Welcome to CoreNet Global New Zealand

Auckland 7 June 2012, Viaduct Events Centre
Join us on Thursday 7 June at the Viaduct Events Centre on Auckland's waterfront for this not-to-be-missed CoreNet Global Symposium event.

CoreNet’s Symposium theme this year is CRE and Business - Working in Partnership, reflecting the critical role corporate real estate plays in delivering businesses’ strategic goals. CoreNet Global and our sponsors are delighted to bring top international speakers and local case studies to present best practice in this space.

Oliver Marlow with Dermot Egan, co-founders of London-based design agency TILT headed up over 20 collaboration hubs around the world. This dynamic duo will talk about the phenomenon of co-working and how it is benefiting companies working together in shared spaces.

International expert on future workspace trends, Marie Puybaraud from France talks about her role as Director of Global WorkPlace Innovation for Johnson Controls, and presents leading research trends in workplace innovation.

Shanghai-based Frank Rexach, CEO and Vice President of Haworth’s Asia operations is ‘the man without a head office’, virtually running teams across three continents. Frank will talk about his operation and Haworth’s new Shanghai showroom, the Shanghai Creativity Centre.

Local case studies feature heavily, including Tainui Group Holdings, one of the most exciting and unique CRE models in New Zealand today. The Tainui story canvases the CRE spectrum from retail to commercial to education...to an inland port.

We look at how the events in Christchurch have triggered a wider industry discussion on disaster and resilience planning, and what is being done by CRE to plan for civil emergencies.

To get you ‘going’ we have multiple award-winning comedian Jeremy Elwood, star of ‘7 Days’ television show.  Plus trans-Atlantic rower and South Pole adventurer Kevin Biggar talking about what it takes to go from a 30-something couch potato to winning the Trans-Atlantic rowing race and tracing Scott’s footsteps to the Pole.

What would the CoreNet Symposium be without drinks and networking? The event kicks off on the evening of Wednesday 6 June with our signature cocktails evening, this year hosted at the uber-glamorous Viaduct Events Centre.
